Dr. Bill Anderson

Co-Founder | Business Operations | Clock Case Restoration | Author
Meet Dr. Bill Anderson Co-Founder | Business Operations | Clock Case Restoration | Author For Dr. Bill Anderson, antiques are more than beautiful reminders of the past. They're pieces of history, each with a unique story waiting to be discovered, preserved, and shared. Bill has a lifelong appreciation for antiques, vintage collectibles, and the craftsmanship of generations gone by. While his interests span a wide variety of historical treasures, antique and vintage clocks hold a particularly special place in his heart. From the elegance of a grandfather clock to the intricate charm of a cuckoo clock, he appreciates the artistry, ingenuity, and history behind every timepiece. As Co-Founder of Clockworks Emporium, LLC, Bill oversees the company's day-to-day business operations, including customer relations, sales, marketing, business development, and the many details involved in keeping a growing business running smoothly. He also specializes in clock case restoration, helping preserve and revive the beauty of antique wooden cases while respecting their original character and craftsmanship. Bill brings a diverse educational background to his work, including studies in theology, business and marketing, psychology, and business administration at the MBA level. His academic interests and professional experience have shaped his approach to leadership, communication, creativity, and understanding people. An Author with a Passion for Stories, History, and Education Beyond his work with antiques, Bill is an accomplished author whose writing reflects his interests in personal growth, faith, history, education, and the human experience. His published works include Just As I Am, a deeply personal memoir exploring identity, faith, acceptance, and the journey toward living authentically, and When Goodbye Has No Answer, a compassionate exploration of grief and the unanswered questions surrounding suicide loss. His newest release, Beyond the Blinders, continues his commitment to thought-provoking writing that challenges readers to look beyond familiar perspectives, question assumptions, and approach life with greater understanding. Through Clockworks Emporium Press, the publishing imprint of Clockworks Emporium, LLC, Bill is also developing an imaginative children's book series inspired by the adventures of Lola and Louie, the company's beloved official mascots. These heartwarming stories celebrate friendship, kindness, acceptance, curiosity, and the importance of embracing what makes each of us unique. Combining their shared passion for horology with a desire to preserve traditional knowledge, Bill and Evan are also co-authoring several reference books covering antique clock repair, maintenance, and history. Their guides are designed to help collectors, hobbyists, and clock owners better understand, appreciate, and care for mechanical timepieces. For Bill, writing is another way of preserving stories, sharing knowledge, and connecting generations—much like the antiques he loves. Preserving the Past, Inspiring the Future Clockworks Emporium represents the perfect combination of Bill's interests: antiques, history, business, restoration, writing, and connecting with people. His philosophy is simple: Every antique has a story, every clock deserves to be appreciated, and preserving the past is one of the greatest gifts we can give the future. When he's not managing the business, restoring a clock case, researching an unusual antique, or working on his next book, there's a good chance he's searching for another vintage treasure that deserves a second look. And yes, he firmly believes there's always room for one more clock!

Evan Anderson

Co-Founder | Clock Repair Specialist | Collector | Creator of Clocks 101
Meet Evan Co-Founder | Clock Repair Specialist | Collector | Creator of Clocks 101 For Evan, clocks aren't simply a hobby or a profession. They're a lifelong passion that began before he was even old enough to tell time! Fascinated by clocks since he was a toddler, Evan developed an extraordinary appreciation for their intricate mechanisms, beautiful craftsmanship, and the fascinating ways they measure and announce the passing hours. What began as childhood curiosity grew into a lifelong pursuit of knowledge, collecting, and hands-on mechanical expertise. Today, Evan is the Co-Founder and Clock Repair Specialist at Clockworks Emporium, LLC, where he combines his natural mechanical abilities with professional clock repair training to help preserve, maintain, and restore treasured timepieces. A Lifelong Passion for Mechanical Timekeeping While Evan appreciates virtually every type of clock, his particular expertise lies in weight-driven mechanical movements, especially those found in grandfather clocks and cuckoo clocks. From the impressive movements of traditional longcase clocks to the charming and sometimes surprisingly complex mechanisms of German cuckoo clocks, Evan enjoys the challenge of understanding how each component works together. His professional training, years of hands-on experience, and natural curiosity have helped him develop the knowledge and patience necessary to diagnose mechanical problems, perform repairs, and maintain these remarkable machines. For Evan, there's something especially rewarding about hearing a clock that has been silent for years begin ticking and chiming once again. It's not just about making a clock run. It's about bringing a piece of history back to life. 🎥 Clocks 101 — Celebrating 10 Years on YouTube! Evan is also known to clock enthusiasts around the world as the creator of the popular YouTube channel Clocks 101, which has proudly celebrated its 10th anniversary! Through his videos, Evan shares his enthusiasm for clocks, offering viewers a closer look at mechanical movements, unique timepieces, repairs, demonstrations, and the fascinating world of horology. Over the past decade, Clocks 101 has become an important part of Evan's journey, allowing him to connect with fellow collectors and enthusiasts who share his appreciation for everything that ticks, tocks, chimes, and plays a tune. His approachable personality and genuine excitement for the subject have made the channel a familiar destination for clock lovers. Ten years of ticking, chiming, collecting, and sharing the joy of clocks—and he's just getting started! 🎶 A Special Love for Musical Clocks Although Evan is an avid collector of clocks of all kinds, he has a particular fondness for musical clocks, especially those manufactured by Rhythm and Seiko. From elaborate animated displays and beautifully arranged melodies to synchronized movements and musical performances, these fascinating timepieces combine precision engineering with entertainment and artistry. Evan especially enjoys the creativity behind musical clocks and the way they transform an ordinary moment into something memorable. His collection reflects his appreciation for both traditional mechanical craftsmanship and the innovations that have shaped modern clockmaking. Whether it's a century-old grandfather clock, a traditional cuckoo clock, or a contemporary musical masterpiece, Evan can usually find something fascinating about it. And when it comes to musical clocks, there's always room in his collection for just one more! 📚 Sharing Knowledge Through Clockworks Emporium Press Evan's dedication to clockmaking extends beyond the repair bench and his YouTube channel. Together with fellow co-founder Dr. Bill Anderson, Evan is co-authoring a growing collection of clock repair, maintenance, and historical reference books through Clockworks Emporium Press, the publishing imprint of Clockworks Emporium, LLC. These publications combine practical knowledge, historical information, and a shared desire to make clock care more understandable and accessible to collectors, hobbyists, and everyday clock owners. Their goal is to help preserve traditional horological knowledge while inspiring a new generation to appreciate the beauty and complexity of mechanical timekeeping. Keeping the Tradition Alive As Co-Founder of Clockworks Emporium, Evan plays a central role in the company's clock repair, maintenance, and technical operations. His enthusiasm, mechanical knowledge, and appreciation for craftsmanship help shape the company's commitment to preserving antique and vintage timepieces. For Evan, every clock presents an opportunity to learn something, solve a puzzle, preserve history, or simply enjoy the remarkable ingenuity behind its design. His philosophy is simple: A clock is more than a machine that tells time. It's a work of craftsmanship, a piece of history, and often a treasured part of someone's life. Whether he's repairing a grandfather clock, adjusting a cuckoo movement, demonstrating a musical clock, filming a new Clocks 101 video, or adding another treasure to his collection, Evan's enthusiasm for clocks is unmistakable. After all, when you've loved clocks since you were a toddler, being a Clock Nerd isn't something you become. It's simply who you are!

Lola & Louie

Official Mascots | Chief Mischief Officers | Children's Book Stars
Meet Lola & Louie 🐾 Official Mascots | Chief Mischief Officers | Children's Book Stars Every great business needs a little personality. Ours happens to have four paws, wagging tails, curious whiskers, and enough charm to steal the spotlight! Meet Lola and Louie, the beloved official mascots of Clockworks Emporium, LLC and ClockNerds.com, and the inspiration behind their very own children's book adventures! While Bill and Evan handle the business, clock repairs, and restoration work, Lola and Louie have taken on equally important responsibilities: supervising everything, providing moral support, occasionally creating a little chaos, and making sure nobody forgets that life should be fun. And naturally, they take their jobs very seriously. Well… most of the time! 🐱 Lola — The Curious Queen of Clockworks With her beautiful calico coat, sparkling green eyes, and unmistakable personality, Lola brings a touch of feline elegance and plenty of curiosity to the Clockworks family. Like most cats, Lola believes the world exists primarily for her amusement. Whether she's investigating something new, observing the activity around her, or finding the perfect place to relax, she approaches life with confidence and a healthy dose of independence. Lola is the kind of cat who reminds us that curiosity is a wonderful thing, a little mischief keeps life interesting, and sometimes the best way to spend an afternoon is simply watching the world go by. Her official responsibilities include: Chief Curiosity Officer, Quality Control Supervisor, and Director of Unexpected Adventures. Her philosophy? If it moves, investigate it. If it doesn't move, investigate it anyway! 🐶 Louie — The Lovable Little Timekeeper Meet Louie, our adorable Dorgi (a Dachshund-Corgi mix), whose fluffy coat, expressive eyes, and floppy ears make him nearly impossible to resist. Louie brings warmth, loyalty, and a whole lot of personality to the family. He's the kind of companion who makes an ordinary day feel special just by being part of it. With his lovable nature and adventurous spirit, Louie is always ready to see what's happening, lend a paw, or simply enjoy being close to the people he loves. While Lola may approach life with feline sophistication, Louie reminds us that sometimes the greatest joys are the simplest ones: friendship, companionship, and being together. His official responsibilities include: Director of Tail Wagging, Head of Customer Happiness, and Senior Treat Inspector. His philosophy? Life is better with friends, snacks, and plenty of love! 📚 The Adventures of Lola & Louie — From Mascots to Storybook Stars! Lola and Louie aren't just the faces of Clockworks Emporium. They're also the inspiration behind The Adventures of Lola & Louie, a children's book series created by Dr. Bill Anderson and published through Clockworks Emporium Press. Their stories take young readers on imaginative journeys filled with friendship, mystery, discovery, kindness, and just the right amount of mischief. Through their adventures, Lola and Louie help children explore important lessons about accepting differences, celebrating individuality, showing compassion, overcoming challenges, and recognizing the value of true friendship. The stories are designed to entertain while encouraging young readers to embrace what makes them unique and appreciate the wonderful differences in others. And because their adventures often involve mysterious places, fascinating discoveries, and a little clock-inspired magic, you never know where Lola and Louie might turn up next! Two unlikely adventurers. One extraordinary friendship. Endless possibilities! ❤️ More Than Mascots — They're Family At Clockworks Emporium, we believe the things that make life meaningful aren't always measured in hours and minutes. Sometimes they're measured in happy memories, unconditional love, and the companionship of a very special animal. Lola and Louie represent the heart behind our business: curiosity, friendship, kindness, loyalty, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel valued and included. They remind us not to take life too seriously, to appreciate the little things, and to make time for the people and creatures who bring us joy. Whether they're appearing on ClockNerds.com, inspiring their next children's book, or simply keeping Bill and Evan entertained, Lola and Louie are an important part of the Clockworks family. And while Bill and Evan may technically own the company, we're fairly certain Lola and Louie believe they're the ones in charge! After all, every clock has a story… and every great story is better with a cat and a dog!
